DELPROSENS was formed in late 2011 by researchers of the Department of Chemical Science and Geology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. Its corporate mission is to develop and bring to market amperometry-based sensors and non-conventional methods of analysis for the control of chemical parameters. Its work is primarily based in the food industry, metal treatment, paper and pulp production, fermentation processes, and waste and drinking water treatment.
Its primary activity is research and development for the manufacturing industry and related services. Its proposed products aim to meet the need for reliable measurement of chemical parameters, even in harsh environments, using instrumentation and methods that are not commercially available. Its devices can be highly customised to the specific needs of clients.
The company is in the process of obtaining a series of Italian patents and foresees the geographical extension of the same in the course of 2014-15.
DELPROSENS was supported by Spinner 2013 and the Entrepreneurship in Modena project, funded by the Province of Modena. It is currently incubated at Knowbel.
