Zeprojects is an innovative female startup founded in Bologna in 2019 from the passion for innovation applied to architecture and design of the founders, Francesca di Giacomo and Silvia Motori. This is the only hub in Italy to offer an architectural design service integrating IoT technologies, AI, and highly innovative materials, all aimed at improving the quality of life of individuals, which is the primary goal of all our work.

Heimdall is an innovative startup that tackles the problem of connectivity in unmanned systems.

In the imminent future many industries will be applying remote sensing for activities like drone delivery, BVLOS, SAR, and ISR operations. They will face serious challenges in the rapid growth of these sectors, that need to, "cover a wider range of action while remaining connected".

Nautilus - Navigation in Space (BO)

Nautilus – Navigation in Space is an innovative startup that aspires towards revolutionizing the space exploration market. By supplying products and services for small satellites (SmallSats) we intend to establish an infrastructural ecosystem that enables small satellites to become the most sustainable solution for achieving interplanetary missions.

Our core business is supplying a modular service for interplanetary navigation (Flight Dynamics) of small satellites.

Zephyr S.r.l. (RN)

Zephyr is an innovative Italian startup operating in the UAS sector, commonly known as drones, and in the aerospace sector in general.

As a spin-off from the University of Bologna, Zephyr was founded with the aim of implementing in business the years of research conducted by the team in the mechanics, dynamics, and flight control of remotely piloted aircraft.

To date Zephyr provides engineering consultancy and technical support for important operators in the mechanical and aerospace industries.

SINTERIA SRL is an innovative startup established in 2021 from the Additive Manufacturing division of the company Controllo Qualità srl. Its aim is to become a benchmark company in the development of new materials for the additive manufacturing world.

Our daily mission is to provide advanced services that improve the efficiency of additive manufacturing processes.

SIMILLA (BO)

Similla offer innovative digital solutions for the development of advanced materials in hi-tech applications.

Similla integrates virtual models, artificial intelligence, and big data in order to accelerate the design of materials and innovative processes for critical applications in sectors of significant technological impact like: advanced manufacturing, health (biomedical devices, biomaterials), energy (batteries and storage, solar power, etc.), the environment, and agri-food (sensors, etc.).

Traxit (BO)

Traxit have developed an IoT diagnostic platform that enables the tracing of people and things anywhere in the world.

Connected telemetric devices complaint with all safety standards are used in planes, logistics, and road transport.

In particular, the patented device for tracing baggage in planes is among the first in the world to be compliant with the regulations of the European Aviation Safety Agency, automatically switching to safe mode during all stages of flight.

ZENIT Smart Polycrystals (RA)

ZENIT's business idea of Smart Polycrystals is based on the production and sale of polycrystals for the solid state laser (SSL) machine market.

Existing SSL systems have high manufacturing costs and the machines are heavy and bulky. These laser beams are generated by a single-crystal that heats up locally during laser emission, causing the temporary deformation of the crystalline cell, degrading the quality of the beam and reducing its efficiency.
