Incubator, Center for Innovation and Industrial Research Laboratory of the High Technology Regional Network (HTN). REI Foundation is founded by Unindustria Reggio Emilia, the Reggio Emilia Chamber of Commerce, STU Reggiane, Iren Smart Solutions, with the support of the Pietro Manodori Foundation, in collaboration with the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and the Unimore University. 

The main objectives:

  • to support companies in developing innovative products and processes through through open innovation and business acceleration services (see Tech-Up Accelerator);
  • facilitate access to highly specialized equipment, spaces and skills for companies and startups for prototyping, testing and technical development;
  • facilitate the matching between the business actors and the research to encourage the growth of the culture of innovation;
  •  promote the transfer of technology and knowledge between universities and companies;
  • to identify sources of funding for the development of innovative projects
  • organize educational workshops aimed at young people with the aim of encouraging a pragmatic approach to learning STEAM;

Tools used to achieve these objectives:

  • networking with companies, universities, HTN Network Laboratories, other institutions and entities
  • the organisation of technical panels
  • the organisation of events for the communication and dissemination of research results and themes of interest for the development of local entrepreneurship
  • the identification of specialised equipment and skills
  • the search for strategic partners
  • realization and management of demonstration labs with technologies of interest to the companies;
