Remmy is the first device of this kind in the world, available on-line as early as November 2013, simple and universal, concieved for preventing two potential dangers:
ALERT function: the device warns the driver if the child moves from his seat;
REMINDER function: when you turn off the engine, the device reminds that the child is in the car
Remmy requested the patent in 2013.
Starting from the initial idea of the two founders, a prototype was entrusted to a technical partner based in Bologna (TEBO ltd).
The project Remmy took part in a national competition organized by Mom Factor and was one of the three finalists. Remmy was also selected by WIRED among the most innovative companies and nominee Wired Audi Innovation Award in 2014.
Currently Remmy is available in 4 versions: single and double (for two seats in the same car), both in the standard version and compatible with the Start & Stop system.
The device is simple, requires neither installation nor maintenance; it charges its battery with the car engine, and can perform a self check.
Suffice to insert the plug into the car cigarette lighter and the presence detector under the seat cover of the baby seat. A control unit inserted between the two elements emits sound signal and bright according with the different cases.
The startup is currently design a version for school buses and a wireless version.
Remmy has been tested and approved by Quattroruote, Altroconsumo, SicurAUTO, as well as dozens of bloggermums.
