BAN Bologna — Business Angel Network Bologna — is a business angel and start-up network that aims at bringing together entrepreneurs who need financial resources and managerial skills and angel investors who offer capital and management support.
BAN Bologna is a permanent non-profit organisation formed by several other organisations, all involved in the development of Bologna and Emilia-Romagna. They are: the Province of Bologna, Confcommercio Imprese per l'Italia ASCOM Bologna, ASTER, Confartigianato Bologna, Legacoop Bologna and Unindustria Bologna.
The process of matching business and business angel involves several phases:
- Pre-screening of business proposals and angel profiles
- Evaluation and selection of entrepreneurial questions
- Accreditation of business and business angels
- Comparison of questions and offers
- Support in the developmental phases of the relationship between business and business angel
- Organisation and creation of investment forums
Affiliated to IBAN (association of Italian risk capital angel investors), BAN Bologna is headquartered in Bologna and selects projects from all over Emilia-Romagna and business angels from throughout Italy.
