In vitro cell cultivation is a widely applied technology worldwide in the fields of pharmacology, cosmetics, diagnostics, and research, normally using foetal bovine serum (FBS) as a nutrition source. However, its use is subject to the limitations of high and constantly rising costs, and some ethical issues since the production process is mainly based outside of the European continent.

The company activity consists in research, development, production, and marketing of cosmetics for personal care and beauty, based on Italian milk whey of animal origin, obtained through a cheese making process. The innovation lies in the use of liquid rather than freeze-dried whey as the main ingredient, unlike products currently on the market, completely substituting water.

Icarus is an innovative startup founded in 2023 and specialized in providing continuous customized medical support through advanced artificial intelligence. Our mission is to improve the post-diagnostic and postoperative quality of life of patients, reducing medical costs and ensuring 24h assistance.
