Bologna-based Cyberating Joins Italy’s Global Start Up Programme in Munich
Cyberating, a Bologna-based startup specialising in cybersecurity and cyber risk intelligence, has been selected for the Munich edition of the 2026 Global Start Up Programme, an international acceleration initiative promoted by ITA – the Italian Trade Agency (ICE). The startup is one of nine Italian companies taking part in the programme’s Munich stage, dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and its applications across different industries.
Launched on 28 September, the four-week programme offers participants access to Munich’s innovation ecosystem through workshops, one-to-one mentoring, meetings with corporate representatives and investors, local company visits and networking opportunities. The programme will conclude on 21 October with a Demo Day, giving the participating startups the opportunity to present their projects to German investors and industry professionals.
The Munich programme is organised by ITA’s Berlin office in partnership with Plug and Play Germany.
From Emilia-Romagna’s Data Valley to the German market
Founded in Bologna, at the heart of Emilia-Romagna’s Data Valley, Cyberating develops solutions for cybersecurity and cyber risk intelligence. Its proprietary platform helps companies monitor and assess their cyber risk exposure, identify vulnerabilities and emerging threats, and prioritise measures to manage and mitigate digital risks.
Participation in the Global Start Up Programme gives the startup an opportunity to connect with one of Europe’s leading innovation hubs, explore potential business opportunities in Germany and build relationships with international companies, investors and technology partners.
ART-ER supports the international growth of regional startups
Cyberating’s selection also highlights the role of ART-ER, the Emilia-Romagna regional agency for innovation, economic development and territorial growth, which is among the partners of the 2026 Global Start Up Programme.
Through initiatives supporting entrepreneurship and internationalisation, ART-ER helps innovative companies from Emilia-Romagna connect with international networks, access specialist expertise and explore new markets. Its involvement in the programme reflects the wider regional commitment to helping startups scale beyond Italy and strengthen their international competitiveness.
