The Italian Entrepreneurship Institute is a private non-profit, created to promote local entrepreneurial spirit and innovation with national and international initiatives and research. Following a handful of experimental launches in 2009 and 2010 by two Fulbright BEST scholarship students at the American Embassy in Rome, the Institute was formally established in 2011. The aim was to introduce the American experience in a structured way, involving thousands of people.
The Institute helps to spread throughout Italy a new model of innovation- and risk-capital-based industry, inspired by Silicon Valley, California.
Among the Institute's projects are the Brainstorming Lounge networking events, the Best Entrepreneurial Experience, Catch-up event and LAB training activities such as UNIBO LaunchPad.
