Evotion aims to provide well-being and tranquility to new mums, who often live with anxiety and apprehension during the first months of their child's development. Evotion's goal is to develop an IoT wearable device that, through the detection of certain physiological parameters (weeping intensity, sweat on the skin, movement and body temperature) combined with environmental parameters (humidity and temperature of the room), provides valuable help to the hardest job in the world, that of being a parent. The goal is to provide parents — through a dedicated app on all major devices: smartphones, smartwatches, tablets — with real-time warnings about their child's health. The heart of the system lies in the cloud platform, which by means of data fusion and big data analysis techniques allows you to manage and process biometric data collected through the bracelet. The product is broadly aimed at first-time mothers, who tend to be particularly focused on the continuous checking of their newborn's health.
The idea for Evotion arose during the Entrepreneurship course at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Piacenza. Within a few months, the initial idea underwent profound evolution, eventually resulting in the establishment of Evotion s.r.l.s.
It has since received numerous national awards, including:
- Final phase of the Global Social Venture Competition (February 2014)
- Winner of the Start-Cup Lombardia in the Life Science category (October 2014)
- Incubation period at the Polytechnic University of Milan, POLIHUB Startup District & Incubator (January-July 2015)
- European level finalist at the Intesa SanPaolo Bioinitaly Startup Initiative (March-April 2016)
