Smart Specialisation Strategy

PashionVictim is a C2C social commerce platform, part of a limited company established in January 2012. Funded by crowdsourcing, the platform allows users from around the world to inspire one another, and share and sell items selected from affiliated fashion boutiques, earning money from sales.

PashionVictim intends to seize upon the extraordinary growth of fashion-related social networks to make up for the lack of electronic commerce indulged in by independent shops (only 5% according to a survey of over 400 Reggio Emilia startups).

The platform focuses on strong relational dynamics to push collaborative logic, according to a model of social commerce in which the user becomes a personal shopper, opening their own virtual boutique, selecting fashion garments that are difficult to track down online and passing them on to others.

Matteo Margini, 32, is the founder of PashionVictim. A serial entrepreneur, he is also the co-founder and marketing manager of KeyMedia Group s.r.l., and founder and director of the fashion magazine free press Style Up!, of which PashionVictim can be considered a spin-off.
