GeneSys Bio comprises a team of four individuals with the mission of revolutionizing the diagnosis of infective diseases and resistance to antibiotics.
GeneSys is a genetic detection platform that combines speed and maximum reliability of results with extreme ease-of-use and portability. The highly developed device design is supported by an artificial intelligence algorithm for interpreting the data, enabling use of the platform in any environment and even by non-specialized personnel.
GeneSys detects the genetic fingerprint of pathogens and their resistance to antibiotics, allowing those making therapeutic decisions to act rapidly and accurately. This avoids unnecessary complications for patients and reduces costs for the health system.
The first application for our solution will be quick and accurate diagnosis of urinary tract infections, for medical clinics, care homes, and in the public sector.
In future we will develop kits for other infections affecting: humans (e.g. tuberculosis, malaria, sexually transmitted diseases); the environment (e.g. water-borne pathogens); and animals.
Our objective is to make diagnostics more accessible, effective, and sustainable for everyone.
