Founded by a University of Ferrara research group, Amon-X has evolved entrepreneurially, with strong research and development experience in the field of automatic monitoring. The company name is an acronym of Automatic Monitoring, while the X expresses its multi-sectoral connotation. Seabreath srl is developing a new multi-chamber oscillating water column system to generate energy from sea waves.The project is on the verge of entering phase TRL7 with experimentation at sea and a search for partners.

AgroMateriae was established after three years of research in the laboratories of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where excellent experimental results led to submission of a patent application for WPL (2019). It was accredited as an innovative startup by the University of Modena, with the objective of ramping up the technology to an industrial scale.

Hospitality Re-sign is an innovative start-up founded for the qualitative regeneration of tourist services in sustainable terms. Starting from an analysis of existing tourist facilities, those in disuse, and buildings potentially usable for tourism, Re-sign proposes registration on a three quality level hospitality portal. The core concept is an ad hoc certified restyling in an integrated, innovative, and certified "network" system.

Established as a limited company in June 2010, Techno GF is engaged in the study, development and application of energy-saving software. Working on the premise that solar radiation behaves in a similar manner to the propagation of radio waves, this startup uses a sophisticated ray tracing program for the prediction of radio coverage in an urban environment, developing it to calculate solar intensity (in collaboration with the Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Systems at the University of Bologna). 

The project called “A Tree for the Future” started as a national campaign for urban reforestation, preservation of green areas, creation of environmental education programs in schools, and activation of programs for social inclusion of fragile individuals.
