Wear Srl - a startup owned by ClubItaliaInvestimenti, Aruba Spa, Boost4U (digital360.it group) and supported by Polihub - was born in 2014 to improve industrial processes through a SaaS MEAP that allows companies to create and distribute manuals via mobile. The platform, marko.tips, allows users to view virtual information directly on real objects, thanks to an augmented reality app for smartphones, tablets and wearable devices.
Smart Manufacturing is the paradigm of a new movement of the Digital Enterprise, introducing ICT in support of productivity processes and maintenance. In this context, the augmented reality applications based on mobile (smartphones and tablets) and wearable (eyewear, watches, smart clothing) devices, which are increasingly efficient and connected to the world thanks to the Internet of Thinks, allow new forms of user experience, in which a user is guided in carrying out its activities from a Virtual Assistant.
It consists of digital information superimposed on the perceived reality. The innovation of MARKO lets easily create and distribute manuals independently, without the help of third parties.
MARKO.tips comes from the long experience of the founders in the university before and then in augmented reality app after. It is the Next Generation Manual, a mobile enterprise application platform (MEAP) that is conceived as SaaS and enables organizations to create manuals instructions based interactive augmented reality, with the aim to optimize their industrial processes, sharing knowledge between operators and improve skills training and training of personnel.
MARKO consists of:
- A Web CMS tool for creating contents, accessible via pc, which allows users to add contents in augmented reality, which are then attached to preloaded images. After creating a match between the image selected and the content increased, this latter will be uploaded to the cloud.
- Cloud for hosting contents;
- A mobile application for clients, available for Apple iOS and Google Android platform, which serves as a data browser in augmented reality for any user who installs it on his personal device (smartphone, tablet or glasses);
