SINBIOSYS were the first in Europe to market silicon quantum dots.
These are new luminescent semiconductor nanomaterials that serve in applications like luminescent solar concentrators, bio-imaging, diagnostics, and for tracing materials, in particular polymers, and for improving recycling processes.
Other fields in which the company's know-how can be applied include anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, and smart packaging using molecular sensors to detect oxygen.
