O-Damp is an innovative startup established as a spin-off from the University of Bologna, dedicated to the development of advanced technologies for personal protection in the motorbike, sport, and workplace safety sectors.
Our mission is to improve user safety through state-of-the-art technological solutions. Our O-Damp product is a revolutionary technology that can be integrated into safety helmets to reduce rotational accelerations during impacts, significantly lowering the risk of brain injuries. The use of advanced materials and an innovative design allows it to absorb and dissipate impact energy more effectively than traditional helmets.
To date, O-Damp has focused on motorbike helmets, but we plan to extend our technology to other sports like cycling, skiing, and horse riding. We also intend to explore new applications, such as personal work safety equipment.
Our project is supported by the University of Bologna, which provides laboratory space, equipment, and consulting through their Sport Technology Lab in the DICAM department.
