Ecoinnovazione is a spin-off from ENEA, accredited as an industrial research laboratory in the Emilia-Romagna High-Tech network. We offer companies and public authorities customized solutions for the assessment and promotion of sustainability in the environmental, economic, and social dimensions. We develop products while also addressing organizations and local territory.

Raiot is developing an integrated system for creating and managing energy communities, combining territorial mapping for the installation of solar power plants, a predictive meteorological algorithm for energy optimization, and an app for monitoring and sharing energy.

Billoo is a benefit company startup that has developed an innovative platform, accessible by app and web-app, to help home and company users monitor and manage electric and gas bills.The application uses algorithms to check the accuracy of the invoiced amounts, comparing the applied tariffs with the best prices on the market, with indication of errors or anomalies.

Founded by a University of Ferrara research group, Amon-X has evolved entrepreneurially, with strong research and development experience in the field of automatic monitoring. The company name is an acronym of Automatic Monitoring, while the X expresses its multi-sectoral connotation. As regards academic training, the team (members and partners) is composed of physicists, geologists and electronics engineers.

Hospitality Re-sign is an innovative start-up founded for the qualitative regeneration of tourist services in sustainable terms. Starting from an analysis of existing tourist facilities, those in disuse, and buildings potentially usable for tourism, Re-sign proposes registration on a three quality level hospitality portal. The core concept is an ad hoc certified restyling in an integrated, innovative, and certified "network" system.

It is a reference supplier for private citizens, technicians, and companies that strive to use healthy ecological building materials. We offer high quality lime and certified derivative products manufactured in Italy. We are based in Bologna but operate all over the country and abroad.

The project was conceived to transform the relationship between the tourist sector and the environment, reducing and offsetting the negative consequences associated with visiting tourists and their accommodation, making the latter the custodians of marine ecosystems. Through a web platform and strategic agreements with hotels, individual tourists can offset their own emissions by financing measures to protect the sea and coastline.

Kinsect have developed an industrial process for producing protein flour for animal feed, based on large scale insect breeding.The startup is in a sector that is growing rapidly in response to a need for protein sources. The EU imports more than 60% of the protein used for animal feed and a recent general increase in prices has been caused by growing demand from breeders, falling fish yields from the sea, expansion limits on agricultural land, and also climate change.

Machines and consultancy for sustainable packaging solutions.

eDriveLAB is a spin-off of the University of Parma that innovates within the vehicular mobility sector.

Stramba has designed a new type of rigging wing that can offer incredible performances.We have great partnerships with the Industrial Engineering Department of the Università di Bologna, with Q-id, style and design focal centre for important brands, the Cantieri Zuanelli and other professional players in the field.Stramba's main mission is to adapt this new technology to all areas of nautical businesses to bring to the market all the benefits and advantages it can offer.

WLHemp is developing an industrial production cycle for hemp, with an integrated approach that starts with cultivation, all the way to the processing and marketing of semifinished goods.

2G Carbons S.r.l. intend to develop technologies, including a patented system (MgOCarbon), that reduce pollutants in waste water and recover nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorous), transforming them into high-efficiency sustainable fertilizers. The approach establishes a circular economic process that exploits the purification cycle to produce fertilizers and contribute to environmental sustainability.

UP Urban Planning Ltd is an engineering company that deals in a multidisciplinary way with local urban transformation  through the use of decision support tools and urban data to integrate multiple contexts. The planning activity is always focused on avoiding the creation of a duality between sustainability projects and users behaviour, a duality that is often the source of inequity. Urban Planning is thus making use of economic and financial strategies in order to translate the idea into reality.

Approximately 11 bn tons of waste are produced in the world each year, only 25% is reused or recycled. In Italy, special waste produced by businesses stands at about 154 mln tons (source: ISPRA, 2019).
