ZENIT's business idea of Smart Polycrystals is based on the production and sale of polycrystals for the solid state laser (SSL) machine market. Existing SSL systems have high manufacturing costs and the machines are heavy and bulky. These laser beams are generated by a single-crystal that heats up locally during laser emission, causing the temporary deformation of the crystalline cell, degrading the quality of the beam and reducing its efficiency.

In vitro cell cultivation is a widely applied technology worldwide in the fields of pharmacology, cosmetics, diagnostics, and research, normally using foetal bovine serum (FBS) as a nutrition source. However, its use is subject to the limitations of high and constantly rising costs, and some ethical issues since the production process is mainly based outside of the European continent.

The company was founded in 2017 from the idea of a pool of engineers with over 15 years of direct experience in the wholesale energy and environmental markets. Its primary mission is to spread and uphold the policies of environmental sustainability though research, development, and the spread of innovative solutions (not only technological) addressing both energy consumers and operators.

ReFuel Solutions was born out of the urgent need to decarbonize the transport sector for goods and people. A functioning vehicle with a number of years of life remaining cannot simply be scrapped due to the substantial environmental impact of scrapping and the expense of substitution.ReFuel has invented a product for such vehicles, instead adapting them to satisfy the new environmental requirements: BiodieselKit.This innovative technology guarantees maximum exploitation of the potential of biofuels.

Ecoinnovazione is a spin-off from ENEA, accredited as an industrial research laboratory in the Emilia-Romagna High-Tech network. We offer companies and public authorities customized solutions for the assessment and promotion of sustainability in the environmental, economic, and social dimensions. We develop products while also addressing organizations and local territory.

ALFRED24 TECH deals with first and last mile logistics for the e-commerce world. This includes an internal network of dispatch and collection points, package lockers, smart lockers, with additional package services, and condominium lockers.  

VAIMEE is an innovative startup and spinoff from the University of Bologna established in 2020. Established as a limited company in June 2010, Techno GF is engaged in the study, development and application of energy-saving software. Working on the premise that solar radiation behaves in a similar manner to the propagation of radio waves, this startup uses a sophisticated ray tracing program for the prediction of radio coverage in an urban environment, developing it to calculate solar intensity (in collaboration with the Department of Electronics, Computer Science and Systems at the University of Bologna). 

BB EVO is an innovative start-up company that supports new projects in the mechanical and hydraulic areas.

The innovative startup Monitor the Planet® based in the Ravenna area was born in 2018 and offers surveying and mapping services with the best technological instruments in the world including total stations, 3D laser scanners, drones, etc.Monitor the Planet has soon expanded to North Italy by opening in Asti and Treviso. We grew to 150 customers and became a benchmark for Italy, with over 300 projects for surveying and mapping services with innovative technologies.

AlmaPlasma is a company that aims to design, manufacture and market advanced technological solutions in the field of atmospheric pressure thermal and non-thermal plasmas, developed by the Industrial Applications of Plasma (IAP) group at the University of Bologna.

Argi Tech make and sell premixed clay-based plaster, along with natural and recycled products for bio-architecture. Our main innovation is the product, "Argi Lite Bio Thermal Plaster".This is an indoor thermal plaster based on clay, organically cultivated hemp, recycled cellulose, and recycled cellulose flock. Respyra is a device purposely designed for eliminating viruses and bacteria from the air, while it is also effective for eliminating dust, odours, mould, fungi, and pollen. Thanks to an innovative photocatalytic purification system it can decontaminate indoor air of all pathogenic agents and pollutants through an oxidization process at ambient temperature using the oxygen present in the air and with light produced by specific UV lamps.
