JOS Technology

Smart Specialisation Strategy
Leadership in Enabling and Industrial Technologies

JOS is an internationally patented technology, the first Smart Energy Surface where each connection point is a high-power socket, to which dozens of different devices can be docked and powered directly on the surface, saving large amounts of energy, space and money.

JOS offers high efficiency and energy savings for wireless charging and data transfer. It reduces the need for polluting batteries and invasive cables.

In interiors it drastically reduces the need for traces, wall breaking and traditional wiring. It is an indipendent system where you can quickly power smartphones, tablets, laptops, sensors, actuators, video cameras, audio/video systems, lighting and much more. It is a magnetic system that provides maximum flexibility and offers countless customization and design possibilities. It has no size limits and can also be powered by a direct photovoltaic system (without an inverter).

Soon JOS will be equipped with an IoT power module capable of controlling the switching on and off of a powered device and its power consumption. Communication with the cloud takes place via power lines conveyed through the Smart Energy Surface and the Bridge cables of the JOS system.
The user interface with JOS IoT systems takes place via WebApp or mobile App.

Winner of Tuscany Start Cup 2013, JOS got access to SMAU Milan in 2013 and to the final of PNI (National Award for Innovation in Genoa).

The company has participated in numerous events ("Do the Right Thing" Milan 2014, Florence SMAU 2014, Salone del mobile Milan 2016, Sicam Pordenone 2022). JOS received funding form Consorzio FidiToscana in the amount of 40K€ and an additional funding of 230K€ from fund COSME, European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI). The company was a finalist in the Unicredit StartLab award, where it won a special mention, and received a great recognition in 2015 the Audi Wired Innovation award.

JOS Technology won Phase 1 of the SME Instrument tender in the H2020 program promoted by the European Union
