We are a technological start-up cooperative in Reggio Emilia and we support people with cognitive disabilities and autism.
We apply innovation from our research to create an environment and educational methodology that promotes the identity and autonomy of users. We take the physical, psychic, and social aspects of all users into account as well as the desires and needs of families.
We collaborate with organizations, universities, the voluntary world, and families to establish a comprehensive project and offer young people constantly changing experiences connected with the social fabric in which we live. We offer targeted services based on ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) science. These methods are applied to induce change and resolve socially significant issues, and they must be implemented so that any behavioural changes can be attributed to the procedures applied.
In collaboration with UniMoRe we finance high level training doctorates. We are an innovative centre of excellence, one of the few to have accepted the challenge of creating a service addressing adult cognitive disability. The aim is to develop skills and collect data adequate for the creation of a scientific protocol, which is still lacking.
The President, Stefania Azzali comes from an extended experience managing tourism and she entered the social sphere in 2002, founding the Associazione Ring14 Italia, which became the Ring14 International Network with 6 branches around the world, and finally Casa Gioia.
