Internship in marketing and sales for German speaking students

Fazland is a project developed by the Italian startup Midnight Call Srl from Reggio Emilia. Our goal is to change the way people find and purchase home services (for example renovating their homes, get plumbers, electricians or bricklayers fixing daily problems). When using our platform clients can describe their needs by filling in detailed surveys and companies can access to the customers requests without paying any fix costs.

Fazland was launched in April 2013. We received an investment of 500K Euro from Venture Capital funds in July 2014 to sustain our growth and internationalization plan. From January, the  1st 2015 we will launch Fazland in Berlin and Bucharest in order to validate our business model in foreign markets and attract future investment to further grow.

Our startup currently counts 9 people and the plan is to employ 15 people by mid 2015.

What tasks will you be dealing with

The intern will be involved in the following activities:

  • Translation of all the website, communication and marketing material in German;
  • Auditing of all services offered by the site in order to match country specific requirements;
  • Support in the decision and definition of web marketing campaigns (for example Direct Email Marketing, Search Engine Marketing) in order to reach the company targets in the German market;
  • Support in the definition of a price strategy for the German market;
  • Daily customer support in order to deepen our knowledge of country specific issues and requirements;

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a young, exceptionally motivated student to join us launching Fazland in the wonderful city of Berlin. Given the importance of the task, the trainee will work together with the company CEO and COO in carrying out daily tasks as well as crucial strategic decisions.

What we are looking for

  • You have to be a student currently enrolled in a degree program;
  • German mother tongue;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Proactive approach in solving problems, like challenges and have a strong drive to learn new things;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

The ideal candidate also fulfills some of these requirements:

  • Student of marketing, economics or communication science;
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Adwords and other web marketing tools;
  • Knowledge of photoshop, indesign or other design tools

Where, for how long, for how much

  • The internship will take place in Reggio Emilia, a cozy town between Milan and Bologna in Northern Italy (35 minutes by high-speed train from Milan, 20 minutes from Bologna).
  • 500 € /m + relocation costs
  • The internship will either start November, the 15th 2014 or January, the 1st 2015.
  • The internship will last between 6 and 8 months – to be defined together.

You will meet young, strongly motivated colleagues. Most of us have had international experiences from both work and studies.
