IXoost is a limited company founded in Modena in July 2012 that designs, assembles and constructs sound systems using components from the world of motorsport, such as F1 exhaust manifolds and other body parts. All pieces are machined and have full Apple support. IXoost has also created an app that allows users to customise the use of the dock. 

Akkutrack is a startup that produces and markets innovative optoelectronic tools for applications in the concentrated photovoltaic market, known as CPV.

In the field of renewable energies, concentrated photovoltaics is one of the fastest-growing areas. Akkutrack s.r.l. in particular proposes innovative pointing sensors that can improve the performance of a solar concentration system, monitoring and correcting pointing errors, simultaneously measuring direct solar radiation from the sun and increasing the efficiency of the system in terms of energy production.

AlmaPlasma is a company that aims to design, manufacture and market advanced technological solutions in the field of atmospheric pressure thermal and non-thermal plasmas, developed by the Industrial Applications of Plasma (IAP) group at the University of Bologna.

The company originates from the Interdepartmental Research Centre Biopharmanet-Tec at the University of Parma, at the hub of Emilia Romagna's high tech network, and produces innovative medicines in powder form for administration by inhalation of antibiotics and chemotherapy.
